LOOKING FORWARD TO 2010!
Artworks Studio Tour has been an annual event since the year 2000. Last year it was offered free of charge for two consecutive weekends. This arrangement was so popular that in 2010 the event will be FREE again and offered over two weekends.

Visit the studios of over 30 artists located in Chestertown and throughout Kent and Queen Anne Counties on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore. It's an opportunity to see and buy original work directly from the artists at studio prices. You'll see Paintings, Photography, Pottery, Fiber Art, Woodcraft, Jewelry, Furniture, Stained Glass and more. And most important, you'll receive a warm welcome from our artists who genuinely enjoy the opportunity to talk with you about their work and studios. Some will take you through their house and gardens, adding even more magic to this tour.

Studio Tour Central is Artworks Headquarters in historic Chestertown. Studio Tour is the same weekend as the annual downrigging of the Schooner Sultana, it's a wonderful opportunity for a friends and family outing. You and your family or guests can visit interesting studios in Chestertown as well as tour several historic tall ships which gather annually at the Chester River dock next to the Sultana. Then take the self-guided tour through the rural countryside. On the second weekend you can start your tour or visit some of the studios you missed the previous week.

Samples of each participant's work will be on display at Artworks Gallery, 306 Park Row, Chestertown. On the Fridays prior to the tour, the art community holds an opening reception for the artists and you are invited to attend.
